Quick Update

Last night we received word that they thought the baby had additional issues which would complicate making an adoption match further, so things were kind of iffy. I found out today that, yes, he (its a boy!) does have an additional health issue, but its not to the extent that the agency thought it was when they googled it yesterday. They talked with the doctors and held him and fed him today and said he is sooo cute!

So, as it stands now, the birth mom will be looking at profiles on Tuesday of next week. Perhaps we will know something then.

Pins and Needles

Well, the title isn't entirely true. I'm actually much more relaxed and at peace that I would imagine myself to be right now.

The short story is that a baby was born in the past couple of days and ours is one of the profiles his/her birth mother will look at tomorrow. The baby will be ready to leave the hospital about four days from now.

I've felt led to pray these two specific things:
(1) that the birth mom quickly knows exactly which family God has for her baby, and
(2) for the health of the baby.
